Hey guys! My name is Dan and I am the creator of Hemp In A Pot.

I first started making videos of my grows because I couldn't find any good grow tutorial videos geared towards personal growers like myself - all of the best guides seemed to be geared towards large volume and commercial grows focusing on things such as yields and large grow spaces.

​With the end of the prohibition on hemp  I wanted to make a guide for all of the new growers looking to learn how to grow a few plants to make their own CBD products from home.

Hemp In A Pot originally started from a YouTube video of my first time lapsed cannabis grow in early 2017. It was a very basic grow log showcasing what I did throughout the grow process, and the video was very well received, which gave me the drive to decide on posting more grow logs but this time with a little more polish and geared towards teaching instead of explaining since as a new grower I found that there was a lack of good tutorials for people like me.

The YouTube channel covered both hemp and cannabis. However, although cannabis is legal where I am located in the state of California, it is still not legal federally, so when the YouTube channel was taken down in 2018 by YouTube with no explanation provided I'm guessing this is the reason why.

Due to this I decided to split the content into two categories: I'll still continue to make new cannabis related content but host them on more cannabis-friendly platforms (Facebook,  TheWeedTube, Vimeo) and take all the information regarding hemp to Hemp in a Pot, as hemp is federally legal in the US so I can still safely host everything on YouTube.

This works out really well since I personally use CBD medicinally, so it was a great way to make content geared towards helping other medicinal users learn how to make their own CBD products as well.
